Gefran controllers: What is auto-tuning and how can I set it up?

Auto-tuning is an automatic procedure that calculates the best PID control parameters. It is used when the process variable is close to the set point.

SETUP:

1. Press and hold the button until is displayed
2. Using buttons configure value to 99
3. Press the key once, appears
4. Using buttons configure value to 128
5. Press and hold the button until is displayed
6. Using buttons configure value to 99
7. Press repeatedly until appears
8. Using buttons configure value to 7
9. Press repeatedly until appears;
10. Using buttons configure value to 21
11. Press and hold the button until is displayed
12. Press the key once, is displayed
13. Using buttons configure value to 8
14. Press and hold the button to return to the main screen

Press the button to initiate self-tuning. LED 2 will flash whilst the controller calculates the control parameters and stops when the process is complete.

**Note: self tuning may only be used when the process is launched (i.e from ambient, initial startup)
