Straight WRP heaters can be bent to fit into a groove (4.6mm deep x 2.2mm wide), machined into a metal block.
They are very suitable to heat up metal blocks (e.g. sealing plates, sealing bars...) due to high heating power, slim construction, small bending radius and good durability against mechanical damage.
The optional built in thermocouple permits convenient temperature measurement.
Coil heaters are widely used in the plastics industry. the packaging industry, the textile industry and in the die-casting industry. Coil heaters can be supplied with built-in thermocouple for applications where there is insufficiennt space to mount a seperate temperature sensor.
They can be supplied in straight sticks for bending and insertion into machined grooves on the tool. Alternatively, the heaters are coiled by the unitemp factory to customers` specification.
Coil heaters can be suplllied with reflection tube or cast-in for added robustness and better heat transfer.
